Why is it advised to not have sex during yeast infection treatment? Why does it matter?

   It could get reinfected
   It does hurt sometimes badly. My mom told me not to have sex while I had a yeast infection…i didn’t listen, oh my gosh it hurt badly.
   You could infect your boyfriend or whatever

   It is better to wait until the yeast infection is gone

   You could pass it to your partner, who could pass it back to you. Yes, guys can get yeast infections, too. It’s just on the skin of the genitals instead of inside the vagina. So once he has a yeast infection and you finish up treatment, you could end up giving it right back to yourself once you have sex with him again. Best to just let it clear up totally before you get frisky. Besides, why would you even want to get intimate if you’re feeling funky down there? lol Feel better soon!

   You can give the yeast infection to your guy.

   You can give it to your lover and in return your lover can it right back to you, then it takes even longer to get rid of the yeast infection when you both are sharing it together.

   Also, the treatment can cause condoms to break more easily.
